| I have a cold and I think I have laryngitis because I've got the sexy raspy voice and you can only understand every other syllable. Since my throat has been dry and scratchy, I bought some Halls mentho-lyptus sugar free honey-berry drops. I brought them to work and was reading the back "ten drops=1 fruit" So, according to some food pyramid, you can satisfy your fruit requirement by eating a lot of these drops. However, if you continue reading the package..."Excess consumption may have a laxative effect" So, the question really is "how many should I have??" I shared this with Greg and Tosha...Tosha immediately picked up the phone and called the Halls number listed on the package where she talked to Harold. As Greg made farting noises in the background, Harold explained, "Well I can eat the whole package like candy and I'm fine, but when my mom has one it just goes right through her... but, the company recommends having one or two per hour" thanks. | | |
| hello all! i had my week off in chicago/wisconsin and it was fantastic!!! it was actually a 3 part vacation. 1. staying at my brothers, playing with spencer, going to boutiques nearby, shopping on michigan ave, burgers at rosebuds (voted by the chicago trib to have the best burgers, yummmm), pedicures at bliss (the best spa in the world, i highly recommend!) and sangria at wave (the w hotel's posh bar, which by the way had the wierdest bathrooms where you could see into the men's room at the sinks, creepy!) (i sound like a spoiled girl, but it felt so great to be pampered :) 2. thanksgiving at my bro's in-laws. amazing hospitality, it was a quintessential thanksgiving-family, friends, food, football. and there was snow on the ground when i woke up, what a treat! 3. tom's wedding in wisconsin. it's hard to write down all that happened, so just ask me later.... i had the best time, it was great to have such amazing bridesmaids to party with, they just made me feel so welcome. (that's us at the after-party :)
and now, it's back to work and preparing for christmas! greg and I trimmed our tree yesterday which was so much fun. I bought a little 1 ft tall green glittery one at a dollar store and he added floss as the garland. he whistled christmas carols as i pretended to drink hot cider. | | |

| I feel like I need to celebrate today. It is my oldest brother's b-day (31) and it's Cal and I's anniversary (1 year)! YAY! (by the way, that's my car if any of you are wondering and feeling out of the loop) And I just want to celebrate how God is working in my life. First of all, it's fall. I love fall, and the month of october. I think I'm month-biased because April is pretty much the best month, followed closely by October. I celebrated my 1/2 birthday the other day and that was good. And fall really has some excellent shopping, the fashions are fantastic, and i love being able to just wear a hoodie and jeans all day long (although i can't really do that at work) Anyways, i love the season, plain and simple. second, praise God for great friends! third, God has really answered a lot of prayers at work. and fourth, i'm getting ready to watch the new episode of the office from tonight. I guess I'm in a celebratory mood today, which could explain the exclamation mark filled memo i sent to people at work for a "spud spectacular" party (ie baked potato day) I used pictures of potatoes as the bullet points, that's got to say something.... | | |
